Land Navigation

This course is designed for backpackers, hunters, and adventurers who want to learn the basics of land navigation. In this course, you will learn how to read a Maine Gazetteer. You will learn how to plot your location and be able to navigate to known points using a compass. You will also learn the basics of route planning and how to read terrain features in order to find the best routes for your backcountry adventures.
Survival Level One

This entry-level course is designed for those who have little to no experience with survival principles and techniques. This is for those who wish to learn basic survival skills that could sustain life until rescue. In this course you will learn the principles of survival and how to develop a survival mindset. You will learn the basics of fire building, shelters, water procurement, and considerations when planning a trip to minimize the duration of a survival situation.
